This Privacy Policy explains what information The Huntsman Club ("we", "us") collects when you use thehuntsmanclub.org, how we use it, and the choices you have. This page is maintained by The Huntsman Club to answer common privacy questions about the Platform.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your booking history, firearm ownership, license numbers, or hunt locations with advertisers or third party data brokers.

1. Information you provide

  • Account details: name, email, phone, password, profile photo.
  • Host details: business name, address, licenses, tax information, payout details.
  • Booking details: trip dates, party size, guest names, special requests.
  • Messages you send through in-platform chat.
  • Reviews, photos, and other content you post.
  • Support requests and correspondence.

2. Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser information, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP.
  • Pages viewed, listings clicked, search terms, and other usage events.
  • Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in and remember preferences.

3. Information from third parties

When you sign in with a social provider, that provider shares basic profile information with us. Payment providers share limited transaction data. State wildlife agencies supply the public season, tag, and draw information that powers our data tools; we do not link that public data to individual accounts.

4. How we use information

  • To operate the Platform, process bookings, and pay hosts.
  • To verify identity and prevent fraud, spam, scraping, and abuse.
  • To provide customer support and resolve disputes.
  • To send transactional messages (booking confirmations, receipts, alerts you opted into).
  • To improve the Platform, including analytics and product research.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

5. Sharing

We share information only as needed:

  • With hosts you book with, so they can prepare your trip.
  • With guests who book you, so you can host them.
  • With service providers who help us run the Platform (hosting, payments, email delivery, analytics, customer support). These providers are bound by contract and may only use the data to serve us.
  • With law enforcement or regulators when required by valid legal process, or to protect the safety of our users.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

6. Your Second Amendment activity

We do not create or share lists of firearm owners, hunters, or anglers with governments, insurers, employers, or advertisers. We will not voluntarily disclose your booking or license activity to any party attempting to build such a list. We will comply with lawful subpoenas and court orders directed at us specifically.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and limited analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

8. Data retention

We retain account and booking data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, role based access controls, and row level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure. Report suspected vulnerabilities to security@thehuntsmanclub.org.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain uses. To exercise these rights, email privacy@thehuntsmanclub.org. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

11. Children

The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Bookings that include minors are made by an adult account holder.

12. International users

The Platform is operated from the United States. If you use it from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

13. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
